Tennessee has been a national leader in the reporting on the water additive fluoride, thanks in large part to Dr. Joey Hensley, a respected practicing physician serving in the Tennessee legislature, who issued a letter to hundreds of water districts throughout the state that distribute fluoridated drinking water, advising the districts of his recommendation that fluoride no longer be added to water.
This sparked a wave of reporting that inspired water districts around the country as well as in Tennessee to end fluoridation of water supplies. it also inspired Sumner County vs Fluoride which is featured in one of the WSMV clips.
